Game Rules

These rules govern all games played on the Last Man Leagues platform. By participating in any game, you agree to abide by these rules.

1.

Eligibility

  1. 1.1Players must have a registered account to participate in any game.
  2. 1.2Players must be 18 years of age or older.
  3. 1.3One account per person. Duplicate accounts may be removed without notice.
2.

Picks

  1. 2.1Each player must submit one team pick per round.
  2. 2.2Picks must be submitted before the published round deadline. Deadlines are typically set 24 hours before the first fixture of a league's gameweek, but shorter deadlines may apply. It is up to players to check the next rounds' deadline.
  3. 2.3Picks cannot be changed after the round deadline has passed.
  4. 2.4If a player fails to submit a pick before the round deadline they are eliminated from the game - unless autopick has been enabled (see rule #5)
  5. 2.5Each team may only be selected once per game.
3.

Results & Elimination

  1. 3.1A pick is successful if the selected team wins their match.
  2. 3.2A pick is unsuccessful if the selected team draws or loses.
  3. 3.3Players with an unsuccessful pick are eliminated from the game at the end of that round.
  4. 3.4If all remaining players are eliminated in the same round, the game ends with no outright winner.
  5. 3.5Results are based on official match outcomes as reported by the relevant leagues' governing body.
4.

Postponed & Abandoned Matches

  1. 4.1Matches which are postponed or otherwise moved with advance notice (i.e. before a round opens) will be excluded from selection for that round.
  2. 4.2In the event that a match is postponed after the round deadline has closed, players who selected a team due to play in the postponed match will progress to the next round. In this case, the chosen team will be considered used, and unavailable for selection in future rounds.
  3. 4.3In the event that a match is abandoned during play, players who selected a team participating in the abandoned match will progress to the next round. In this case, the chosen team will be considered used, and unavailable for selection in future rounds.
  4. 4.4On rare occasions, it may be necessary to skip an entire league gameweek if several fixtures within that gameweek are affected by changed schedules. In such cases, the administrators will notify players in advance. The decision to skip a gameweek rests solely with the administrators of Last Man Leagues, and that decision is final.
  5. 4.5In the unlikely event that any player has no valid team left to pick due to match postponements, they will advance to the next round.
5.

Autopick

  1. 5.1Autopick is an optional feature that game creators may enable when setting up a game. When enabled, this acts as a safety net for players who fail to pick a team ahead of a round deadline. Instead of being automatically eliminated, the player will be assigned the first unused team (in alphabetical order).
6.

Lifelines

  1. 6.1Lifelines are optional features that game creators may enable when setting up a game.
  2. 6.2Each lifeline can only be used once per player per game.
  3. 6.3Lifeline effects are applied to the round in which they are used, regardless of the matche outcome.
  4. 6.4Specific lifeline types and their effects are displayed throughout the game.
  5. 6.5With regard to rules 4.2 and 4.3, if a player has activated a lifeline for a postponed or abandoned game, this will be considered used and unavailable for selection in future rounds.
7.

Split Pot

  1. 7.1The Split Pot feature is optional and must be enabled by the game creator before the game begins.
  2. 7.2When the number of active players drops to or below the configured threshold, all remaining players will be offered the option to split the pot when picking a team for the next round.
  3. 7.3If all remaining active players agree to split, the game ends and any winnings should be divided equally between the remaining players. However, if even one player declines, the game continues to the next round as normal.
8.

Tie-breaker

  1. 8.1In the event that a game progresses into the final round of a league competition (e.g. Gameweek 38 of the Premier League), players will be asked to answer a tie-breaker question when submitting their chosen team: 'How many goals will be scored in total across all the fixtures in this gameweek?'
  2. 8.2If multiple players successfully pick a winning team in the final round, the player whose guess is closest to the actual total goals scored wins the game outright.
  3. 8.3If two or more players are equally close to the correct answer, they share the win.
9.

Winning

  1. 9.1The last player remaining after all others have been eliminated is declared the winner.
  2. 9.2If multiple players survive to the same final gameweek, the tie-breaker (see Rule 8) determines the outright winner. Where players are equally close, they share the win.
  3. 9.3The platform records winners for display on the game board and the player's profile.
10.

Administration

  1. 10.1Game creators are responsible for managing their game and communicating any custom rules to their players before the game begins.
  2. 10.2The platform administrators reserve the right to void, suspend, or terminate any game in cases of abuse, technical error, or violation of these rules.
  3. 10.3These rules may be updated at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the current rules.
